The sugar and acid mellow out the intensity of the pepper for a salsa that’s tart and sweet with a hum of heat.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 habanero pepper, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 mango, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon mint, minced

Instructions

  • Mix together all ingredients, and let sit for 30 minutes before serving.
